SUPERVISORY SKILLS

The EAP has a dual approach to training for managers and supervisors. Our traditional program offers single one-hour sessions, typically focused on a specific topic, such as managing conflict or running effective meetings. Companies can choose single or multiple sessions from this group of seminars.

Additionally, we have a developed a more specialized training program to develop new supervisors and enhance the performance of more experienced managers. The program consists of three to seven two hour workshops. This extended format allows for greater skill development as well as the promotion of management collaboration. Companies select from a list of seven workshops and our staff coordinate the program to meet organizational goals.

Our traditional program includes programs such as these:

  • HIGH IMPACT LISTENING
  • MANAGING CONFLICT
  • DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE
  • DELEGATION SKILLS
  • MAKING MEETINGS WORK
  • PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING
  • CELEBRATING CHANGE

The Supervisor Survival Skills series carries a new supervisor from the transition from staff member to supervisor, through development of communication skills, team building, time management, and more. Experienced managers will appreciate the opportunity to enhance their skills and learn new strategies for the workplace. The larger company benefits from the collaborative work of those in the program.
