The EAP is a valuable benefit paid for by your employer. The EAP services provided by Mount Auburn are designed to help you or anyone living in your household (spouse, child, significant other) resolve many issues that may be causing problems in your work or home life. Our trained counselors know that the stresses of daily life can affect your performance on the job, and that job-related issues can spill over into your personal life.

Here is a quick overview of the EAP benefits for each employee:

  • Assessment & Referral. Whether it’s a personal or professional issue, the EAP can help you assess the situation and find the resources to effectively solve the issue. If your concern requires longer-term assistance, the EAP will refer you to appropriate resources within your health insurance. Some of the issues addressed by the EAP include:


    • Marital and family issues, including balancing work and family, parenting, relationships, coping with aging relatives, illness, divorce, domestic violence, and the death of a loved one.


    • Emotional stress, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, phobias.


    • Substance abuse, including alcohol, drugs, gambling and other addictions.


    • Work issues, including job stress and burnout, career transitions, co-worker issues.

  • On-line self-assessments. Simple questionnaires for self-assessment are available here on our website. Click here to locate them.


  • Services are free. Your employer has already paid for these services for you.


  • Services are confidential. The EAP maintains the privacy of all its clients. No one from your company will ever know that you are using the services, unless you give the EAP written permission to release information.
